The Annual YMCA Family Turkey Trot 5K & 1 mile Fun Run is an event (families) you can enjoy on Thanksgiving Day that encourages healthy family living and activity. We invite everyone to join us in running or walking this fun race with families, friends, kids, strollers and pets.
Exercise and make a difference at the same time. Your race registration fee supports the charitable work of the YMCA outreach programs within our community. These inspirational programs help to positively develop our youth, provide assistance to families seeking membership, and encourage participants to know the ways of Jesus Christ while growing in spirit, mind, and body.

Race Day Registration 6-7 am(@ Avery Trace Gym directly across from YMCA)
5K Gun Start @ 8 am
The Turkey Trot 5K will be chip timed (Gun timed start with chip time finish). All participants will receive a numbered bib with a disposable timing chip attached.
1 Mile Kid’s Fun Run @ 9 am
Awards to follow. Race results will be posted, and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 winners in each age division.
The winner of each age division receives a FREE “Ready to eat” Smoked Turkey Courtesy of Kroger & Stroud’s BBQ.
Overall Male and Female Winners will each receive a Three month FREE Family YMCA membership to the Putnam County Family YMCA.
